Hey everone I'm redoing my 70 maverick body man comented that one of the rubber gromets is missing on the passenger side wiper arm where it connects to the shaft coming out of the cowl. The driver side has one did they come from the factory with a pair I believe it still has its metal wipers from the factory. If its supposed to have two does anyone know where i could get a good used one as theres no reproduction part i'm aware of thanks for your time.:drive:

There is one on the driver's side to prevent water from entering the fresh air vent "hat" inside the cowl. No need for one in the center (RH) wiper hole.

Hmmm, A/C cars don't have the driver side fresh air vent, so they must have just stuck them on every car going down the line.

Probably easier to stick one 25 cent grommet on every car than to distiguish A/C from non-A/C cars going down the line.

Info above is correct....only driver's side got the grommet. It is also corrrect that nobody reproduces these. I have found it best to remove the wiper shaft in order to get the rubber grommet out without tearing it....but you can get it out otherwise if you are careful. Not much fun getting the wiper shaft out...lots of work to get to it.
