I have used both, por 15 on my gas tank, rust bullitt on floor boards and trunk, both great products, although my floors and trunk were in great shape...added insurance...Jim (y)

I'm using Por-15, but I've heard good things about both products.

After I got my Maverick stripped down I bought a quart of Rust Bulllet and coated every little area that showed signs of rust. I used the brushes that the kit came with and gave the car three thin coats. That stuff dries super hard so its a little tough to smooth out, I recommend spraying it. But so far absoulutley no rust has came back. I used the rust bullet and body filler instead of welding in new sheet metal. This guy that lives down the street from me swears by this stuff, and he owns a hot rod shop. Its good stuff. Its really worth the price.

I am currently re-doing my floor pans after having them botched up about 3 yrs ago by a local chevy guy, he just used plain sheetmetal and didn't do a very good job. I did coat the pans on the topside and bottom side with POR-15 when he finished. Well, all I can say is that i'm NOT impressed with the performance of POR-15. I applied the product per the instructions, using the Metal-Ready prep and everything, correct temperature/humidity etc. After removing the carpet, some of the POR stuck to the underside of the carpet and just peeled away. It appears that it works well on HEAVILY rusted areas but not very good on new/newer sheetmetal. I have been a BIG POR-15 advocate until now, i'm really disappointed with the performance. I will be re-doing the floor pans, ie. sandblasting and re-coating with the Eastwood product. That's my 2 cents for what it's worth!!

Oops, forgot to mention this.....I also applied it to my 9" rear end, all over........it has held up nicely and there are no signs of problems......

I am going to use the Eastwood product. I have been reading and also think the por-15 works well on rusted parts and not so well on new metal.. Since I am putting in new metal in the floors, I think the Eastwood will be better. only draw back from the Eastwood is I will have to top coat it...
