Well I dont know if I should shed a tear or jump for joy:huh: but I sold my 72 Grabber today. It brought me many thumbs up in its day and was fun at the dragstrip but it was just something I thought I had to do.

So now we start all over again with my Blue 72, can you say sleeper because here comes the 347 stroker motor that I have wanted for along time, not going to change the outside appearance much, probably just a GT scoop, front chin spoiler, rear spoiler and sport mirrors.

I guess I will have to change my avatar now to the blue car

the title of this thread is appropriate. Sad and sweet at the same time. I agree with rayzorsharp though. don't sell em, just add em to your collection. although i understand the economy is bad right now, and desperate times call for desperate measures. Still sad to hear its gone.

Well I did convert a Mustang guy into a Maverick guy thats got to count for something. He has 5 Mustangs 1-67 Fastback 1-68 Fastback a SVO 2003 Mach 1 and a 2005 Mustang. 3 of them are very nice show cars and the Mach 1 is built nicely but he wanted a nice little street strip car and after test driving the Maverick he knew it was just what he wanted especially after the long burnout and slapping it into second gear and snapping his neck with an automatic.

One of the first questions he ask was what will it take to make the car run in the low 12s or 11s. After showing him a time slip with a 12.84 I told him money. I think I am going to like this guy. He cant get his Mach 1 to run as quick as the Maverick but he is doing it with street tires and its a stick car but it has 415 rear wheel dynoed hp.
