Just to let anyone in the area know, they are having a Pro/NoE and Super Pro only race on June 26th. Payout is 2000.00 in each class. Might just drag the old Fairmont over and give it a shot. 1/8th mile, Pier 7 Dragstrip just outside Salisaw.

Thanks Dave.......hopefully and the Good Lord willing next year I would like to do some traveling to special events like that!
***My plans for the car are to just kind of pick and choose the races I want to run. With a wife and 2 boys at home its really hard to try and run the weekly bracket program and still manage to be a good husband and dad.

You are absolutely right. Family first, racing next. Maybe in time you can combine both for some real great times together. I am lucky to have lived a life of raising my family around racing, be it karts, cycles, stock cars or drag racing. When I used to be a yankee in Nebraska when it was -10 below and a foot of snow, would take the kids to the local slot car track to have fun racing, until spring when karts and cars, etc. started up again. Just had to compete and "race" something. The wife was supportive but really not all that enthused about racing in general. But thats ok, she has helped this old guy and her kids live a good life of competitive sports. I think your sound judgement is commendable and hope you continue to reap the benefits of putting them first. Maybe someday we and our kids can race together somewhere, it's what I like to refer to as the "American Dream" without our hopes and dreams, we kind of just exist on this planet and thats not my bag of tea. Man, I got to get some more coffee, getting kind of philisophical this early in the morning. :slap:

    Amen.
I am hoping to get both the boys into the JR. dragsters in a year or so. If so, I will park my old heap and just enjoy "playing" with them!
