It's funny how you key in on these cars.... I was heading up one of the access roads (Dallas, TX), about an hour ago, on the way over to a supplier when I spotted a car in front of me, quite a distance, but enough to think it was a Maverick (sloped rear window and narrow taillights). He was heading North to make a right going East, and since I wasn't able to catch up with him, I took a quick Eastward shortcut that would make me meet up with him. Sure enough, here he comes - a turquoise Maverick, zooming by at the red light. I took a quick right and tried to pull up beside him, eventually catching him. I saw the license plate frame, it said "1972" - I honked, he looked over at me, gave him the "peace sign" (showing a "two"), he nodded and smiled, I gave him the thumbs up and peeled off, as I had to make a left. Car was in decent shape, no real body damage or visible rust, and obviously had a six cylinder (as he gassed it it sounded, well, like a six cylinder). It also had original wheels and hubcaps, and was in no way restored (though I don't think the paint was original - forgive my ignorance). It was really great to see a driving Maverick! To be honest, for a metroplex this large, this is only the second one I have seen (and the first was sitting in a parking lot). Just thought I'd share. Chris
