i guess i aws wondering about the actual saw, Like you just use a circ. saw? Can you use a reciprocating saw or will that tear it to bits? What about t jig saw? I realy have no clue waht to use, thanks.

An air powered cut off wheel is probably the cheapest to use as Frank said. If you have no compressor, a 4"grinder is a great alternative. You can buy cut off wheels at any Home Depot for it. I also have a 7" grinder that I buy the 10" metal cut off wheels to do the shock tower mods. It will slice through anything effortlessly.

Yea but the 10" cut off wheel gives you an edge thats smooth, straight, and ready to weld and it costs less than $10.

Wel i got a 4" grinder and some cutoff wheels, but the wheels are to thin, are there thicker metal cut off wheels and i just need to look a bit harder, or can i just put a washer on there and work with that?

i have a saw i use its like a mini version sawsall its about 12 inches in length and cuts precisely without tearing the metal and the blades last a long time good tool to invest in if you are going to be doing alot of rust removal wich i hope none of us have too
