I installed it and I got gaps at the rear corners. heres the deal. I have a 69 1/2 car. seats came from a 73 2 dr. car. why are there gaps???
Are the gaps at the bottom? That is because you also need to change your rear seat side panels to match.
Yes, the gaps are at the bottom. So all I need to do is find the rear panels from a 73 ? Thanks for the info and quick reponse, too. Jamie
The side panels will have a slot for the seatbelt to come out. So you will have to relocate them or fill up the slot.
Getting a 70/71 back seat shouldn't be too hard ... I have never really seen a "bad" back seat in a 2-door parts car since they were probably not used much. Just gotta check the top back for dry rot from the Sun. Now ... getting it in the right color or pattern may be more difficult.
Aaah crap, I remember now. See what happens when you get all excited when you find something nice in the boneyard. I mean this thing is a really decent driver quaility seat. Got some thinking to do, might put it up for sale or trade. How would you fill the slot? I can go get the panels today after work. Btw the way, it was a goooood day for mavs out there. I seen no less 6 cars and three of them were v8 cars!!! Got me some real nice 1/4 window seals too.
