    Hi all,

I am currently working on the floorboards in my Comet and was wondering what brands of seam sealer and weld-through primer folks here liked.

It would have to be in aerosol cans at this point because I don't have a large enough compressor for spray equipment.

    Thanks in advance...

Eastwood has the best stuff ................ :thumbs2: http://www.eastwoodco.com/

SEM copper welding primer has worked very well in places that can't be treated after welding.

and they have a canned seam sealer that is identical to factory seam sealers. Very easy to work with.

Use Rust Bullit or Eastwoods Rust Encapsulator too ...............

    Thanks Eric,

I figured the seam sealer would be in a spray can.
Didn't really think about it be brush-on, but it makes a ton of sense now. (y)

    I'll look into CopperWeld too.

I have Rust Bullet and like it a lot so far. Brought back a pair of bucket seat tracks from the dead. They look great finished in their BlackCoat, and I brushed it all on. Very smooth finish if you put it on fast.

Most of that stuff can also be found at an auto paint store.:)

I bought this stuff at a local auto parts store, not advance or autozone.
I had the guys at advance tell me there was no such thing as weld through primer... jacka$$...

The copper weld is wonderfull... The seam sealer is also wonderfull from eastwood.3M also sells a seam sealer that workes very well and cost a little less(like 5 bucks) but man does it have a strong!! odor.(the eastwood stuff doesnt smell as strong)when you have your head stuffed up in a quarter panel aplying the stuff you learn to appreciate the difference.
