I know there is a thread in this forum about 9 inch widths from differant vehicles somewhere because I used it to find a rearend for my mav, but I can't locate it in the search.I need to replace the rearend in my 54 ford pick up and need to know what rears to look for. Can anybody give me the link?
These charts often have some errors and omissions, but here is one from the web ........... http://www.dfwmotorsport.com/Fairlane/9inchrearends.htm
Here is the thread where Jack corrected some information http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=58069&highlight=inch+widths
The bad thing about the various charts listing widths for 9" rears is some are the housing width, some are the axle flange to axle flange widths and very seldom does the chart specify which it is. What width do you need ?
57-72 Ford 1/2 Ton pickup 9in. rear will bolt in .is the correct width and has the 51/2 bolt circle for your wheels.
