Anybody know a source for seat foam replacement for 73 Comet GT? Im looking at some for 71-73 Stang, in CJ Pony Stang catalog part#SF7. I suppose I cud order and see if they match, but thought I'd ask here first. My foam is in gud shape other than being old and somewhat soft.
They are not the same, those Mustang ones would work for 71-72 bucket seats. But not 73-74, if you look, you'll find the foam is molded to the seat frame.
Is there an alternative? How do you differentiate the early buckets from the late ones (without taking them apart)? I bought mine from a guy but I don't remember what year they are and I will need to do this eventually.
