Hello everybody!!!!!! New to the forum, I have a 1975 Maverick 2door. Plan on doing a little drag racing with it, but going to make it street legal also. My problem is i need a set of front and back seats. I have one bucket seat in it, drivers seat, dont think it is a mav seat. I need someone to direct me as how to go about finding seats. Junk yards around here cater to mostly towards front wheel drive cars. Havent seen any mavs. Please help!!!!! Thanks, fordboy.
Welcome! You aren't too far away. I would have thought southern Miss would be full of old junk. Older cars are getting thin here from steel being so high. Everyone was scrapping. Now with steel down, we might get some old cars to stay in the yards for a while. I noticed a yard the other day that had been running minimal stock was starting to fill up. I also saw some old cars could be seen from the street as I went by. A 70 Torino for one, is a good sign. Good luck with finding your seats. If you just don't find anything local, and want to travel a bit, I know some yards between P'cola and Tally that have quite a few Mavericks.
Welcome aboard fordboy. I might be able to help you. I have a complete set of deluxe bucket seats/and rear from a 73 Maverick. I also have a set of 71 buckets that might be salvageable. Still in a parts car I have (Katrina victim). Best thing is I'm not very far away. I live in Grand Bay Al but work in Pascagoula. Let me know if you're interested.
