We got 2 good passes in before the racing started, needless to say I'm very happy with the way the car did, she hooked hard and went straight, there are a few bugs to work out, mainly the stall converter is loose...it doesn't start to pull hard until 6500 rpms, the timeslip is from the second run...notice the track temp...makes me wonder what it would do at 60 degrees. First pass was a 6.70...er...I'm in the right lane on the slip And yes I have video if Stefan will be so kind as to tell me what to do with it
Very good, Rick! How does the car feel? Hope it fits you well, and you can air it out on the next outing. Be carefull, and have fun!
Awesome! nice to have a positive first outing. Is the engine everything you expected? Looks like we will indeed have a new leader in the 1/8 timeslips! What was in the left lane?
Allen the engine was in a word "AWESOME", performed well beyond my expectations, as did the car. Earl the car fits me like a glove, although I get extremely nervous when I pull into the staging lanes and it only get worse until I get back to the pits. A rail car was in the left lane, David the guy that built the engine made that pass, I've got a video of my first pass I made against a 6 second mustang, if I can get it posted I'll narrate it for ya....it's hilarious.
That's cool! Looking forward to the video. Let me guess you launched and you brain told you to lift and then you got back in it!
Congrats on the car handling well. Looks like I may have a new Comet... cuz I know your address now and I'ma come get it. hahaha j/k
