:wow: those are expensive !! I bought 69 Cougar tail lights on E-bay for 35.00. Granted they had some pitting but I sanded them down and filled the pits as I'm painting them black anyway. I then removed all the vertical chrome pieces, sanded and filled. Now they are waiting for paint. The hardest part for me was making the first cut in the tail panel, didn't want it FUBARed !!!

parts wise, thats what you'll need to change them over. the lens and bezel is up to you on the look you want.

12 times ? Man, I spent 1\2 a day hem-hawing around. Finally I said "F"-it and made the cut. Worst that could happen is I`d have to replace it. But it turned out OK. I think fan2488 put the main tail light body in the trunk, I kept mine outside and offset it with a 71 Mustang gas cap. It really is an easy thing to do unless you over-think it like I do.

I've been thinking about putting the Shelby lights on my '69.5. I would leave the vertical bars though. Either those or a Comet tail panel and lights. Hard to decide. My tail panel has a few issues that I don't really want to mess around with just to put stock Maverick lights back on.

There is a new kit out now that doesn't require cutting the tail panel.
There is a flat LED light panel that sits flush to the back of the bezel and lens so it can screw straight to the sheet metal.
The wires run through whatever original opening the car has.
    Sequential and all. Looks neat.
They have started making them so the Stang guys can convert their cars back to original condition very easily.

Btw: That price is stupid high!
For that money, or less, you could get the LED no-cut kit.
That kit you are looking at doesn't even seem to come with the sequential controllers.
