Scenario: 1973 Ford Maverick Automatic transmission. Car is pretty much all stock parts.

Bought it off someone for 800 bucks because the transmission was "bad" because the car failed to shift. Finally got around to working on the car a little after getting the repair manual and some money together, and noticed the only thing stopping it from Shifting was the Shift Rod was basically snapped.

Anyone know where I can find this piece? The junkyards around me don't have any junked Mavericks. Is there a place I can buy it, or take it from a different car? Anything.

Any help would be appreciated as I supremely suck with cars. Added note, my Father manually shifted the car by pulling on the lever, and now I can't start the car as it won't let me turn the key. Any tips on this?

I may have the linkage you need. I would need to know what size motor is in the car. Email me directly (see below) if I can help.
