when it gets cold out my front shocks or springs or something with the suspension starts squeeking hardcore.. i mean like when i push it up and down.. what is an easy fix for this?
Put some grease in the zerks behind the front tires. It is hard to get to, but I guarantee that will fix the squeek. Very common problem in our cars.
It is likely the upper control arm bushings. There is a special kit (2 piece fitting) that can be installed without removing the control arm. These are available from the Mustang supply places. You may also want to check the Help section at the local auto parts store.
Take your front tire off, and it is straight in where the lower suspension doohicky meets the inner fender well. If you are sitting on the ground, it is about chest level and all the way in.
ok i tried that and the squeeking didnt stop.. so i found some silicone spray and that did the trick (for now)..
Both my '72 and '74 Grabber used to do that. A shot of PB blaster to the spring perch on the upper control arm would always stop it for a few weeks. The '74 stopped doing it permanently when I wrecked it , the '72 stopped when I rebuilt the suspension. My cars did it regardless of the outside temperature, but it was a little worse when it was cold out.
Mine squeaks so basd at times It's embarrasing to drive...people turn their heads.. The squeak is coming from up inside the shock tower at or near the top of the spring. I've sprayed all kinds of stuff up there to no avail.. Just like the other guy said, you can bounce on the fender and hear it.. anybody ??? heeeeeelpppp... It ruins the fun..
