I've asked so many questions that by now I'm sure you know that I recently purchased a 74 Grabber. The car now has a set of drag shocks that are about 15 years old. I would like to replace them but I don't know if drag shocks are really necessary. It's a 302 car with a Holloy 600, shift kit and 4:11 gears. The only other thing I will do to the engine is add a hotter cam. Any shock suggestions. Is it a tough job to do in my home garage?

Special thanks to all who have helped me out before. I'm old but I'm learning!

Are you planning on racing it? If your gonna drive it on the street drag shocks are not necessary. Depending on the valve rates some drag shocks can be a handfull for a street car. Some good gas charged shocks like KYB or Monroe will give a more solid feel. Shocks are very easy to change on a Mav.
