Just taking my 70 Maverick out of garage storage after 3 years.

How do I drain out all the old gas?
Should I clean/replace the fuel lines as well? I was warned by multiple people about a possible fire hazard (from the alcohol in the gas possibly eroding the lines).

I want to make this car safe and reliable for my son... Any suggestions on where to start?

    Thanks,
    Brad (Bird) Leonard

I would remove the tank, drain/clean it out. then would be a good time to install a...drain plug...:thumbs2:

If the gas has a rancid odor remove the tank, otherwise I'd siphon as much as possible then add fresh fuel... Do check condition of rubber lines...

Note fire is always a possibility with gas, I recommend doing any work or siphoning OUTSIDE...
