So the red piece of one of my rear side marker lights decided to break off and fly on down the road somewhere. A buddy of mine has an extra rear side marker assembly but the bezels on mine have been painted black so I wanted to just swap the internal piece into my bezel but how can I remove the fixture from the bezel without just breaking the plastic pieces holding it into the bezel? Is there a trick or hack to do this? I've attached a picture of what happened to my existing marker light.

An easy swap. In the trunk there is a bracket with 2 nuts, that holds it all to the car. Take off that bracket and the marker assembly will come off the car. Once it is off the car, the marker lamp will separate from the bezel. At the factory, there is a little bit of plastic flashing that might need to be trimmed off to cleanly remove the marker lamp, but that flashing is just a leftover from the factory. It is not needed for proper assembly. Between the marker and the bezel there should be a thin foam gasket too.
