i wanted to clean up my side markers but what do you guys think is the best way to get rid of the two tabs that are melted down keepin you you from taking the reflector/bulb housing out? and how would you get them back on? thanx guys.
What I do, is just carefully trim off the melted down plastic ON ONE END only. It is quite brittle and most times just breaks away easily. When one side is free it will tilt out and come apart. When reassembling, just use a soldering iron and melt back a little tab to hold it in place. When assembled onto the car the metal brackets do all the work of keeping it in place. The little melted tabs just hold it togetther during assembly to the car.
I gotta agree with olskool i hate the side lights. im gettin rid of them and the door handles. but ive seen the tabs melted back together with a solderin iron and just left off. either way works.
