Size Of Weld Holes

    I've seen these steel hole punchers used by body shops when overlapping patch panels so you could then fill the holes with weld to connect the panels. I don't have one and was going to just use a drill bit. Does anyone know what is a nice size hole to drill? :hmmm:

    If you have a harbor freight near you, you can pick up one cheap. I think mine was less that 20 bucks. most of the holes you will need to punch will be the size of a pencil eraser or less.

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    I find that a 3/16ths hole works well for plug welding panels together.
