Small block 302?

    howdy yall. i know this may be a stupid question but i need to know what is the difference in a small block big block 302, or if there is even such out there. also how do i know which one i have?

    and chevy has a 302 also.

    There's a difference between "Short block" and "Long block" 302

    Maybe someone got you confused thinking a Boss302 was a big block. It uses cleveland style heads that are huge compared to the little 302 block. I've heard them called big block heads many times. But no the 302 is only a small block.

    Sort of funny....when I was ordering the short water pump for my BOSS 302 engine the parts guy kept telling me it wouldn't work, because I had a big block.
    I kept telling him no, I don't have a big block ! Just sell me the parts !
    (yes, they fit perfect)
