I've got a question for all y'all, mind you, I hadn't owned a Maverick/Comet since 1974, both were runnin' the 200 I6. I've been getting conflicting information concerning the installation of any small block Ford V8 in my '71 Comet, some say I will have to notch the shock towers to go to the V8 and some say that I don't. what's the bottom line truth?, do any of y'all know for certain? Please advise...Thanks to All...kafrompa

Will that include the Windsor 351?

The 351W will bolt in but is going to be extremely tight. No way I would do it without shaving the towers. I'd build a 302 stroker before I did that. A lot of us are running 331 and 347 strokers. All the power you would ever need for a street car.
