Well folks my engine was completed and sent off to the dyno shop. After 5 passes on the dyno machine, the tester advised I needed a bit more valve spring as the valves were starting to float at 7000 rpm. He also said my carb needs a little bit of love to make it perform better ( larger air and fuel adjustment screws for more air and fuel). He feels that when these two things are corrected I will get 510 hp out of this engine. For now the numbers are in and at 6700 rpm I have 486 hp and 405 foot pounds of torque on 94 octane pump gas. The pictures of my engine are on my website and I will also post pictures of the dyno document to back this up by the weekend.I will also add a video of the dyno test by the weekend to my website for all to hear and see. Wow, now that's some HP.... But is that metric or SAE?:rofl2:How does the current exchange rate effect it???? For every 1 USA HP do Canadians get .82 HP??

    Sorry, I just couldn't resist...LOL

Well for just test runs without tweaking things your hp ratings are good I thought it would have a little more torque. Tweak the carb and get some better springs and you should get 500. At any rate it'll make a Maverick scoot right down the road or track.

    What heads are you using?

    Cost to build----a lot
    Seat of the pants feel-----priceless

That's not bad still, looks like it should be well worth more than some peoples cars.
