Hello, I haven't posted anything in a while but I look quite a bit. My 72 is almost alive again. The engine is almost finished just hiding wiring, the AOD is all installed and ready to go. Paint looks good, now I am having a heck of a time finding a decient priced place to either rechrome bumpers in the sacramento area or where I can buy new ones. I thought about using auto Krafters but am a little scared after a valve cover issue. Thank you for any help and there are a lot of great cars on here. I will post picturers from the car show today when I get them sent to me.:drive:

Someone I know ordered a dashpad for a 70-ish ford truck from Auto Krafters and waited for it for 3 months, calling them a few times a week and getting the work around just for someone to tell him yesterday they discontinued the dash pad a year ago.

    He wasnt too happy...

He said Auto Krafters told him once it was shipped out already when it wasnt

My issue was with the maverick valve covers. I placed an order oil pan, air cleaner, valve covers, well the oil pan and air cleaner showed up but I had to call them and find out that valve covers were back ordered till who knows when. Could they have not told me that when I ordered? It was just as well as I ended up using different heads with roller rockers. Now I see the valve covers on e-bay again.

i used to deal with the bumper boyz at the swapmeet i used to run in detroit and they are a good bunch of guys to deal with.
they were just set up in springfield ohio last weekend and i looked at there prices if you give them a good core i dont think the price was all that bad or you can buy one without the core.

    Hello Rob:
I've had good success with an outfit in California which I'll list below. I've bought 5 sets of bumpers from them over the past ten years and they were good quality . Here's their information:

In my opinion BumperBoyz sucks! I have a set of their bumpers and both are going bad. This car has been inside ever since being built other than going to shows. Of course their warranty is only good for two years and their customer service over the phone was horrible. I also had a very difficult time getting them right in the 1st place. I had to pay shipping each time till they got it right. They even made me purchase another set of bumpers until they got mine back before they would refund anything. I was in a situation where I needed to keep the poor quality ones on my car for upcoming shows until I got what I thought would be good ones. I wound up with over $700 in two small bumpers. After being on for three years spots started showing up in both of them. I'll be sending them to Tri-City Plating in Tennessee for the next go round.
Before using them I recommend doing a search on this forum for BumperBoyz. You will find that many people have been very unhappy with them.
