Hello, I an in tool and die school and have been trying to make a custom centers for the Magnum 500 center caps on a CNC. I have posted a pick below (sorry Pic is not the greatest but batteries where running low in Cam)of a demo I made out of alum to see what needs to be adjusted, there is a couple on imperfections but one I get them corrected. I am going to used stanless and Panit it with high gloss black and then CNC the center so the engraving will be nice and shinny and than i will clear coat it all.

Please if you have any thoughs you think I should add please let me know.

Also I can't make these for no one but my self. but when I get this all done right. I can email the CNC coding so you can have your own done if you can find some one to do it for you. Also having the program Code already made for it should make it cheaper for you also.

    thanks Jim

JMO but I think they would look better with just the steer head. I never liked writing all over cars, thats why I always remove all the script. Plus anyone with a Maverick could benifit. Not just those with Grabbers.

Hello, I talked to the teacher he sayed we can make them to sale just have to keep it hush hush but you will be looking at $100 a set of 4 that is just the custom centers not the caps the caps will have to be drilled and taped in 3 locations. I will take pics when i do mine to show how it is done. The teacher said a job shop would not make them unless it was a big order unless you know somebody.

I will not beable to work on mine untell the 3rd. we are out for xmas after today .

    thanks Jim

Are you learning G code or conversational programing? and I'll take a copy of the code.

We are phasing back into M and G codes with Mastercam programing at my place of work. All are machines are conversational, but with the Mastercam you have much more control over the program.

Sometimes the old way IS better! ;)

My boss has been useing Mastercam for about 10 years now. We got a new Milltronics lathe this summer and I've been learning how to run it. We've been useing the conversational programing, and we also have been running his old programs thru a post processor and running them on the new machine.

Hello, I did a couple adjustments and posted the cnc code files for the centers below, if any one has access to a cnc or can find a shop that will make them for you, they can load using these code files to make them from Alum.

The Maverick file has maverick and grabber writing just like the pic.

The mavhead just has the sterhead emblem.

We can make a set of 4 centers for A $100. If needed.

    Thanks Jim
