    i pulled out the insulation, now theres spray adhesive with insulation stuck to it all over the ceiling, what can i use to get it off? bug and tar remover? also, i started to bang my roof out...

    I'd try the tar and bug remover, it takes stuff off pretty well.

    good luck beating on the roof,.....go slow and take your time, work one area at a time starting with the less mangled areas to get a feel for it,... wont hurt to read up on some basic metal working as well. good luck on it,and have fun.it really isnt that hard, it just takes time

    Just scrape it with a gasket scrapper........it worked for me

    lol, well i got the worst looking one out with a rubber mallet, than i went and bought a small body hammer.

    A scotch-brite wheel on a grinder will take care of that stuff pretty quick. I've also seen sand paper used on a DA sander.

    If you have a shop helper that can hold a dolly on the other side of the roof, it will make the metal work go much easier.

    The biggest trick to metal work is not hitting it too hard.
