    Doug Bauer...

.....may be able to help you with this. Hopefully he will
chime in here about requirements in TX. I suspect since
cat. converters came out in '75, that will be a requirement
for registration coming from Mexico. I doubt that Mexico
had those requirements. Texas may not do emissions
inspections, but they may require it coming from where
    you are.

Thanx Mavaholic Im try to conserve but is something hard right now for me ($$$, time, and knowledge), now i have a fight inside of my head between to sell or to try to keep with him. I have more than 15 years with him, my dad gave me it, it was the family car.

And Thanx Seth, then, just with a inspection i could cross the border??, here in Monterrey there are emissions inspections but are not obligatory for drive the car, just in the Mexico City is obligatory.

Somebody know the value for a 77 maverick 2 door with 302v8??

    thank U.

Cars built after 1973 must meet US bumper safety laws. I'm not sure if a Maverick would fly, but it's worth a shot to have someone inspect it. I know in AZ I see a LOT of cars with Mexican plates, so perhaps it's worth a chance just to visit and have it checked out. If it's no-go, try to sell it.

I remember the emission tests here in monterrey in the early 90's. My family had 2 buicks (century) and the '92 would always pass the test, and the old beaten up '86 never made it lol, the 2.8L V6 ran great...it was a great car indeed...

mavzac, where do you exactly live??? I live in San Nicolas

Thank U Skaz, i will check the link.

Maverick75, this wheels, i think so, are torq thrust 14'x 6, American something... said behind of its.
and that is the reason for cross the border, buy some wheels, tires, and anothers stuffs for the engine, but how i said before, i am asking for take a desicion about if keep my car o sell it, if is not difficult cross the border I'll could to save $$$ in my purchases and have more perspectives to keep with my car else i think sell my car, not in US i think that is more difficult there. But I hope not take that way jeje:D

This pic was before i paint the center.

    Greetings and thank everyone!!!
