I went to discount tire today to look at what wheels are available for my maverick. I want to get some in 15's but it seems like it's impossible to find a good selection. I have 4 lug wheels. Why is it that so many maverick owners have beautiful wheels on their mavericks and I can't seem to find any for mine that fit! My cousin suggested I get this spacer thing that converts my 4 lugs to 5 lugs..

Got any suggestions? Have any of you experienced this "wheel dillema"?
I just don't understand why this is soo hard! I love Cragar S/S, but I can't get any in 4 lug except for 13 in. I love the Keystones too, but the guy said they won't fit either. What am I to do??

    :hmmm:

the spacer would work but you will need to get a different center set back maybe.

I suggest you get a junker and spend a weekend converting to 5-lug ....

i had the same exact problem....thats why i went to the junkyard and got an 8inch 5 lug rear end....

but i wont put it on until i get the rims, tires, drums, leafs to do it right....

american racing will custom make a rim for 4 lug rear end.... i went to discount tires and they quoted me at $45 a rim....(steel) and 3-6 weeks to make them which isnt bad...but it still is a 4lug rear end

You can get Weld wheels for a fox mustang-the other 4 holes will fit your pattern.Or just go 5-lug & be done.

I would love to just convert to 5 lug, but I have absolutely no knowledge of how to go about doing that... Is it pretty simple or do you need to be pretty..um.. mechanically inclined?

Its a fairly easy swap with a donor maverick.

Plus, around here no one will seel the 4 to 5 lug conversion spacers anymore....deemed unsafe.

4 lug fox wheels don't fit, they are the same as a pinto, too small for our cars, been there, done that, converted to 5 lug and disc brakes, easy job really

No they won't,but if you get Welds or some other wheels that have a dual pattern, the OTHER set of holes will fit our cars.

Check out the web for wheels. Local shops may not have any, but internet suppliers will!
