Why does AutoKrafters list three different lengths for a Maverick speedometer cable? One is 63 inches, another is 66 inches, and another is 80 inches...
Well, they are lacking, Master parts lists four and that's just for '70-'72. I'm trying to coax my W7 computer that has '73-77 records to wake up.
Reason I'm asking; I ordered a new speedo cable 12 years ago from O'reilly's. It was way too long. So I ordered another one from AutoKrafters or Melvins (can't remember which), and I don't remember the length, but the clip for the speedometer connection never worked. It's just pushed on there but not locked. I want to buy a good one but don't know what length I need. It's a V-8 with C-4 trans...
Wow, all of them are shorter than the AutoKrafters offerings. Melvins has 2 listings; 60" and 76". 'Looks like the 63" is gonna be my best option...
Probably use the 80" for Top Loader conversion. Nothing anywhere near that length used in earlier models.
