    i have this squeaking noise in my front end it is real bad i changed my shocks idler arms what else could it be it is really bad and annoying.Someone said it could be the control arm or the shock tower braces help me out guys

    Had the same problem with the torino I had, It was the spring seats that bolt on top of the upper control arms, went thru alot of moulah to find that darned squeak!!! ha ha..:90:

    I'd bet you a gazillion dollars it's the upper control arms themselves. There's a grease fitting but you can't get a standard grease gun on it due to the lack of clearance between the control arm and the shock tower, hence these are never lubricated. There is a special right-angle fitting that can be used, or you can do what a lot of other people do - cut a hole in the shock tower adjacent the fitting.

    I agree with Sam. The upper control arm bushings in my old Mustang used to squeak so bad, everyone knew when I was coming down the road long before they even saw me. The Mavericks are just as bad because of the bad location of the grease fittings.
