Hey everyone. Proud owner of 71 maverick here... Need your help yesturday I bought a 66 mustang inline 6 w/ auto trans. Runs good but it will stall at every single stop. I hav to put it in neutral and it will start right up. And then drives good but once I stop it will again stall and shut off... Any ideas or suggestions of how I can fix this?

Increase the idle speed at the carburetor.

Yup, had the same issue with mine, and it was a vacuum leak.

how long has it been since it had an oil change...lol
i had a dodge dakota once that would do that after i first got it
because the idiot that had it before me hadn't changed the oil in forever
and when u came up to a stop it would loose oil pressure and die lol
suprisingly i drove it for more than a year after that then sold it
& never had any more problems out of it. dang 3.9 v6 where good motors lol
