Can't wait to see how yours compares to the RCM version! :thumbs2: I'll have to quit working on my current project soon, it'll be too hot to get anything done w/o making more problems than progress. Bare metal + sweat = instant mess!

Spent a little time in the garage today.. Wish I had more time. I'm hoping I get it all in right. No instructions.
    Springs and spindles are in.

Something to consider. If you are using the strutless lower control arms, you may want to run a gusseted tab from the lower control arm mounting bolt to the bottom of the frame rail to fight the rotation the crossmember will see under braking. You occasionally hear about a MII front crosmember pulling out and braking rotation is what causes it. A short brace for the lower mounting bolt on either end will help protect from that. It became fairly common when the one piece/strutless lower a-frames were put in place of strut style lowers.

    Frank,

I've seen it done like this. Four triangular tabs, 2 on each lower strut boss, front and back. Only one shown here...

I think I will take it back apart and add them. It all seems really stout and firm but I would hate for it to give out when I can address it now.
I was also unable to get one washer in on the LF where the lower bushing is at. I'm not sure how I will be able to fix that just yet. Bushings are seated and arms have no flex to try and spread them at all. I may grind on the tube but I am going to call Tom and ask if it is hollow or solid.

Edit: Tom says I need to measure the spools to know if I need the gussets. There was an early kit which used a 1" spool, those he said would have come with gussets and a goof ball could have left them off. The revised kit uses 1 3/8" spools. All cradles are 1/4" steel. The spools are solid so I could grind it a little he said, or leave the washer out. I will grind it for uniformity.

not had any problem with mine but if they are ever off I will add them also. I have removed the bolt and greased it so that in itself tells me nothing has moved...:thumbs2:
