Finishing up on restoring these for my 74 Maverick. Bought them off of Craig. I'm painting the black by hand ....
Paint the black on first...then mask that off and paint the silver. I can't wait to see those on your car. Those are my favorite factory wheel. So...are those the ebay beauty rings? Whatcha think?
Yup ... the rings fit perfect although not identical to Ford Rings. They have a rounded lip where the Ford rings are flat and have an edge before dropping down into the rim. Also they are polished stainless steel instead of brushed stainless. Unless you knew what the originals looked like you wouldn't know ... I think the look awesome and only $50 .... I also have a set of centers on the way .... was hoping they would have been here today .... Also bought a new set of chrome acorn lugnuts as well ... The entire deal with rims, rings, paint, centers and lug nuts set me back $250 ....
Hey Dan....not on this subject, but I just got my Mustang & Ford.....congrats on having your car in there! WAY TO GO>!!!!
Thanks ... I have yet to find a copy in any stores around here ... They all still have the November issue
I just completed my set of 500's, now I have 5 with trim rings, only one trim ring isn't stock, all for $60, think that was a good deal, now to get some sand blast sand
Here's another set ... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43954&item=7933422203&rd=1

I sure would like to see your car close up.When is the next time you plan to show?If you have any parts PM or e-mail me!
I was just at Wal-mart last night .. still have the November Issue there. Not sure if there are any shows left this year ... I currently have no spare parts for sale. Dan
That is true, but if you say painted magnum 500, people are more likely to know what you're talking about, than if you say 'styled steel wheels', which could be anything depending on what car it came off off. Plus styled steel wheel just sounds cheezy.
