I installed a stroked 5.0 and t5 in my maverick but it was a spin bucket . So i decided to go with an aod.
Now i have a problem with my starter not engaging the flex plate properly.
The starter is the same one i had with the t5/flywheel and the flex plate is what is needed for my setup but i'm lost and not sure where the problem is.
Anybody else had this problem and how did you fix it?

A spin bucket is what my car is too. :chirp:

I just went from an AOD to a T5. Same starter was used and didnt have any problems with it. Are you sure you used or the correct flexplate? Or even if you aske dfor the correct flexplate, did the counter jockey give you the correct one? Do you have the part number for the flexplate?
