    what size steering shaft is in a 1970 maverick manual steering box...im looking to rebuild mine and have found a rebuild kit for a 67-70 mustang box..it says it is for a box with a 1 1/8" shaft.....anyone have any info on this?

    1972 Comet GT clone 306 . 1969 Fairlane Cobra 428CJ 1988 T-Bird awaiting 331 ..
    Don't think it will work, Mav/Comet use the Fairlane/Torino sectors that are larger than Stang... My '69 428 Fairlane uses the exact same box that's in my Comet(yes I verified the tag numbers)...

    yea ive read that sticky several times and im confident on jumping the task but I wanted to be sure before I dropped the cash on the kit..i see he was using a 68-70 rebuild kit..
