Steering column lower bushing

    It is my understanding that Mavericks did not come with any sort of support for the steering shaft at the bottom of the column. Since I have mine apart, is there any downside to making a plastic bushing for this area? I realize the connection to the box is right there but I would think the steering may be somewhat more solid without the rag joint also acting as a support.

    As long as the rag joint is in good condition, you'll never know the difference.
