hi i want to convert my comet 73 to manual. Is there a difference between a auto (floor type) and manual tranny and is all year are same thank you
Just a thought... When I have done column to floor swaps, I have just cut off the shifter boss from the column sleeve. Then fill it with expoxy or filler. Then sand and paint. Easy job and cheaper than seeking a smooth shift collar or entire column. Especially when the only visible difference between them is the smooth collar... and it is removeable just at the 'not smooth' collar is. Just a tip... Dave
