I saw a post a few min. ago about "stock times", well... i remembered this post on another board i frequent, figured it might provide some interesting information Now, of course, not all the information will be correct, as situations, altitude, tires, etc, etc, can all affect times, as, there's more variables than you can count on your fingers and toes. So, let these just be a "general" time to compare stock vs stock I couldnt post on here because i was like 40k characters too long...oops I'd rather not break it up and steal a bunch of bandwidth from you guys..so i'll host it on my supermotors account (great site btw) http://www.supermotors.org/vehicles/registry/showmedia.php?id=215683&original=1 56k beware, its like 2.5MB, but, i think you can just right click "save target as" to just download to your desktop...give it a shot
wow...stock maverick is 17 seconds....and i run 14.5 ......thank god mine isnt stock....lol....i would hate to be that slow... i cant wait for traction....i am just curious to know exactly what mine can do
My stock bronco was probably like 18 why they put a 302 in trucks i wont ever understnad, decent motor, but not enoguh lowend for a larger truck the 302 in the 74 feels pretty zippy, and when you give it gas it'll getup n go...surprisingly i foudn out it only has 140hp stock, i figured it was about 165+ from the way it felt, but i guess i'm used to truck 302 (owned 2 of them), so, it could be the difference that it's in a lighter vehicle with considerably better aerodynamics , and 185's not 235+++++
i really dont know my HP.....but if you calculate the MPH....ET./..weight...i come up with 292 HP...i just did the porting on the heads....suposed to be good for 20 HP...so now i might be over 300....we will see.... T&T is in 2 weeks
Got specs of your engine and building specs? I may be interested in upgrading the engine a bunch later on down the road..but i've never attempted to build up an engine..only shiftkit/suspension
