OK, so I downsized my cam ever so slightly. Well tonight after playing around with a few things I procceded to stage a quick burnout for a neighbor (private road, no one at risk!). Stepped on the brakes and slowly brought it uo to the stall (3000) and nothing happened! The tach stopped at 3,000, the car was tweakin the drivers side fender as the torque took over but no breaking loose of the tires! I did it again and let go of the brake at 3000 at it launched REAL hard. But, for the life of me I could not break the tires free of the concrete. Good problem to have I guess yes? But why would the car not accelerate above 3000 with the pedal to the floor? AM I gonna hurt something doing this? Perhaps a splah of water tommorw night. Tires are brand new 275-60-15 DR 4.11 locker

Convertor stall, you must have a 3000 stall convertor and enough traction to keep the car planted

I guess, feels strange having a sub 12 second car that can't do a burnout!

Was it good and hot? I can't imagine it not spinning with 4.11s, although you do have a helluvalot better tires than I do. Still sounds odd...

Loosen up the rear brake shoes, install a line lock, or throw down some water.

Most guys don't complain when they get that kind of traction. I remember what one of my CC teachers said, "if your tires are too big, add HP!"

I know that Paul. And deep down I am thrilled! A friend with a 67 mustang with half my motor can lite em up from a standing start and I was a bit jealous. Of course my tires are 3x's his and my 1/4 times is a few seconds faster as well. But still.....(I could alwaus BLIP the N2o button)
