I was considering doing 8 inch racing stripes on my car when the paintjob rolls around to being done, has anyone ever seen this done on a big bumper car? I found plenty of small bumper cars in the gallery with stripes but only 1 big bumper, and that was a tiny picture of a blue 4-door. I was really considering doing something very similar to what jpollard did with his small bumper, thanks for any input in advance.

Personally I've always liked skunk stripes. I think you can pull it off with a big-bumpered car too. What colors are you thinking of?

Back in the stone age there used to be a bbm running around these parts with just the stripes you car describing. He painted the bumpers too and took the stripes to them as well. It wasnt a bad lookin car. Last time I saw it was several years ago in someones backyard, looked like it was being used for a dog house.

I'm thinking chrome bumpers, the car is going to be painted some color red, and then white or silver stripes.

I think that they'd look great regardless of bumper size. If they were good enough for Shelby, they're good enough for us.

    Red with white stripes...awesome combination!(y)

Seems painted big bumpers with the "Slide" would look pretty good, I think I would remove the bumperettes, they clutter the look, in my opinion thats what I plan for my Comet... someday Going to carry the stripes right down the bumper.
