Anyone have any tips on removing a stuck oil plug on the third member. I am using a ratchet extension rod but it doesn't seem to go in far enough to get enough torque to twist the plug. Any other tool I should use instead.

Its an 8 inch reer end............

make sure its not full of dirt and grime. dont use an extension. you should be able to get the racthet in there. an extenion is alot more rounded off than the ratchet is.

A good breaker bar. Thats how I pulled mine. No extension, just put it in there and lean on it.

clean the inside of the plug out with a pick and brush, then use a long 3/8 drive breaker bar. I wouldn't use anything but good tools or you are likely to break the bar and bust your knuckles.

Just use a ratchet and hammer. If it doesn't work, don't force it. You need to get a bigger hammer.
