Hi Marcus! Nice to see from a fellow Maverick/Comet owner in Sweden. I´ve been filling these people with lies ( ) about how rare these cars are in Sweden since I joined this past friday. As I´ve written, I´ve only seen a couple of Mavericks, and the Comet I have now is the first one I´ve seen in person (have seen them in pictures). Do you have any idea how many Mavericks and/or Comets there are in Sweden? And definitely post pics of your car! Anders O
Hehe Mavaholic, it´s even doubtful if Marcus and I will ever meet in person. Were roughly 1000km apart (620miles). I promise you this though, if you guys are coming to a Roundup in Luleå, come rain or shine I WILL be there! Edit: By the way, I´ll even cater for beer and BBQ if you guys turn up, but you need to bring your cars though, wouldn´t be a real roundup without the rides! Beerings strait is pretty narrow so with wide enough tires you should be able to make it by "aqua-planing". Just drive north up through Canada, turn left at Alaska (keep the accelerator firmly to the floor when you hit the western coast) then continue driving west through Russia (keep the foot planted to the floor there too, their police have a serious attitude problem), deccellerate somewhat when driving through the northern tip of Finland (it´s a nice country, well worth seeing), once you passed the finnish/Swedish border keep a lookout for the sign "Luleå", you´ll be there in no-time.
