I converted my 302 maverick to a T5 this past November, but being that the clutch cable is right next to the exhaust manifold, it has burned up 1 cable and my 2nd one is about to go. I even wrapped this 2nd cable with Kragan bought header wrap. Any suggestions?

I made a simple "Hook" that bolts off of one of the steering box bolts to hold the cable away from the header.Going on 4 years now.
