   1972 mercury comet with a maverick front end. It has a 1992 5.0 motor in it.

   Is a t5 out of a 2.3 mustang good enough for a 5.0 motor with some mild upgrades?

   My opinion - no
   
   It is the lowest rated for torque - the shaft size is too small unless you use a bushing - and the gear ratios are not very friendly for a V8
