Tail panel

I been thinking about painting my tail panel black. What do you guys think?

 

I think it would look cool, use silk matte paint.

 

Paint your grill black too if it isn't already ...

 

Grille is from my '74 Grabber, was black from the factory. I guess I should have mentioned, I'm thinking about doing it shiney black.

BTW: The valances and rear bumper in the pictures are the ones I got at the junkyard the other day for $7 and $11.

 

Looks good red, but if you are going black, use Krylon Semi-gloss black, always comes out nice.
The bumpers look good!! Wish I could find a Maverick in the wreckers up here, it's been almost 6 yrs since I've seen one...

Ok, look like I'll add that to my list of things to do before FFW. One week from today! Going to be a busy week for me.

 

Blacked out panels are just plain ugly. JMO

It all depends on the car and the color. I would do whatever you feel like doing to your car.

Whatever trips your trigger...I painted just the tailight bezels black on mine...I wanted to be different.

 

I already have and will continue to do whatever I feel like doing to my cars. It's always good to get second opinions though. I am going to go ahead and black it out. It's already spray painted and I can always respray it red later if I decide I don't like the black. I just feel like it needs black on the back of the car to match the black on the front.
