Regarding the Bobcats tailights... Anyone every tried taking a second set of Mav tailights and cutting off the reverse light to than flip the brake light over and mate it to the existing one for a similar look? Check out the pic representation I did in paint below.
thats a grand national, probably the same one mentioned in his sig. i drive a 86 regal, same body but not everything to brag about under the hood lol. those lights look nice.
Its a Buick Grand National. Same body style as the Carlo, the g-body, but totally different. The National is alot more ballsy and its only a six
Only problem is the material the bezel is made out of. You cannot weld it together so You'd have to epoxy the sections. Therefore, you could not keep the polished look.
i know this might require alot more craftsmenship, but i was thinking, what if the out side curve was left the same but the inside curve was 90 degrees, straight up and down. kind of like they normaly are but also include the inside red lense?
I know I probebly couldnt save the trim piece so I was gonna fab up my own and just paint it black or the color of the car. I thought about it and since a compliant was the second half being upside down so why not take the opposite light and mate it up after cutting the reverse light off. Than mate the two like in the picture below.
I tried an dc tig and it wouldnt work. Its probably because they have aluminum in them. You need an ac machine. That I dont have access to.
If my dad can weld two coke cans together, I would think he could weld a couple of Maverick bezels together.
