Those tail lights look very much like Camaro tails. I had a Camaro guy try to buy a set from me before... I had to explain to him they were Ford lights or he would have bought them. I have seen one set on a Maverick before. Believe it or not, they were mounted upside down! Freaky lookin'. Dave
Some version of the Torino had that light but went all the way accross the back of the car. I have looked at those many times wanting to put them in but they are too long so they would have to be cut down.
been there. http://www.geocities.com/pavement_poet/mav/torinotails.jpg Considered that one myself, as you can see. Instead, I went with the '67 impala look, the car was scrapped, but I will do the tails again someday.
I've been studying that idea myself, GT Torino, Firebird Trans Am, etc. Tail lights all the way accross with a center door for the fuel filler. 69 Camaro lights look simular to the standard Torino lights, too.
i think the mav/comet taillights are great just how they are the only ones i like more are the bobcats just my
Personally I have never seen a tail light conversion on one of these cars that looks "right". The only exception to that is Ray Parrish's blue Grabber or the Bobcat tail lights. To me all other lights I've seen just seem to big for the car or the overall shape of them doesn't go along with the rest of the car. I think stock Comet tail lights are the best looking tail lights for these cars. JMO I wish that Cyclone tail lights were made in a way that they could just be unbolted and stuck on another car. I think those would look slick on a Comet with sequential turn signals wired up.
