Since we are now ready to hook up the Taurus/Volvo/BMW fan modification, I have been looking more closely at the wiring setup. It looks as if many have the main controller power coming straight off the battery with a high amp fuse attached. Wired in that manner won't the fan possibly stay on after the car is shut down? Does anyone here have theirs wired this way, and if so has there ever been problems with the fan exhausting the battery?

I wired mine this way but added a relay to the ground side of the sensor. You are correct. The fan would run until the temperature dropped after car was turned off.

Thanks guys, I believe we will mimic one of your setups, either an additional relay or switched power. I just wanted to confirm that my limited electrical knowledge was correct in my assumptions.

Mine's connected to the battery and runs on low until it cools down. It cycles on and off 4 or 5 times and then it's done.
