Ok considering purchasing the Total Control Front Coilover suspension. I have read all the threads on here and still wondering?? 1/What's the best spring choice as they offer several for daily driving and some drag strip 2/How much adjustability do the Coilover have as far as up and down for ride height 3/How important is having adjustability on shock compression and rebound 4/ OP reviews
I have 3,200 on my set up. I have no complaints and the car handles excellent. I have 500# spring on an aluminum head engine, AOD and AC. A bit stiff but I like it. I have not played much with the ride height. I believe you want the lower arms parallel to the ground. Mine sits pretty low and I might see if I can bring it up a bit. As far as the shocks. I have not found the time to play with it either. The level of adjustability would depend upon what you want to do with the car. Micah
I agree with Larry, why? Knowing what you have accomplished with your build you obviously have a good head about you when it comes to cars and no doubt your advice would be sound. Share some knowledge man, enlighten us!!!!
Ok pulled the trigger for a guy with a brand new in the box coil over fronts with spindles and got it for $2186 shipped to me
Install is not too difficult. Probably the hardest thing is drilling out the spot welds on the upper coil mount. I used the original spindels. This is also what Wilwood specified. Did you get the "Shelby Drop" version? The Wilwoods were also an easy install. I got their stainless braided line it. The only thing I had to do was get a 90* fitting at the caliper to get the line out of the suspension. I had to specal order it from a local fittings shop. Micah
Yes they are the Shelby drop . Yeah I had a line maker make me the lines and he included them 90degree fittings
