I was wonderin where the fuse panel is on my 73. I cant seem to find it under the dash anywhere, and I believe a blown fuse is causing the car not to start.

The fuse panel is about where your left knee is when you sit in the drivers seat. Loosen the screws from the bottom of the panel and just drop and slide it out. The fuse box is not under the dash, it is on the vertical lower portion of it. You will see the door if you look in that area. Do not think a fuse problem is the reason you car wont start. What exactly is it doing? Is the engine turning over?

First thing to do is to remove the small connector off the solenoid next to the + battery cable. Take a screw driver and short the small post to the battery post. If the engine cranks, the problem is your not getting 12V through that wire you took off. If it dosent do anything, the problem is either the battery, cables, solenoid, starter, or conections between them. Let us know what you find & we can direct ya from there.

the major problem with that is that the V8 severely restricts access room in the engine bay. Also complicating this is the fact that all the extra air conditioning equipment is in the way.

Use jumper a jumper wire then.

Doing this will split your trouble shooting time in half .
